馃崈 Do something just for you:
Finding a space just for you could mean going out for a coffee, or reading a few chapters of that pending book, going for a walk, or meditating, in short anything that works for you. In fact, “me time” is a good idea for every day to have a chance to rest and recharge your energy.
馃崈 Eat your favorite food:
Something as simple as your favorite food can really put a smile on your face.
馃崈 Go for some easy wins:
A sense of accomplishment and progress can do a lot to make your day better. Maybe you’re feeling frustrated because it seems like you’re failing to make a real difference at work or at home. Instead of trying to tackle an extensive project, look for a couple of quick and easy wins.
Make that phone call you’ve been putting off. Book those tickets. Sort through that stack of papers on your desk. Tackle those e-mail messages. See how many five-minute tasks you can finish your to-do list. You’ll feel so much better once you get them done.
馃崈 Talk to someone you love:
Don’t complain about your day to them. Instead, ask them how their day went or share something positive that happened. If it’s not practical to talk to someone, why not send a quick email or text “I love you” to simply let them know you’re thinking of them. Not only will you feel better, you might make their day better too.
馃崈 Take a shower:
Taking a shower in the evening can be a great way to feel rested after work. It can be a wonderful opportunity to unwind before bedtime. Plus, a shower offers a peace and relaxation.
馃崈 Find the positive side of the situation:
No matter what went wrong, you can almost certainly find something positive in it. It can be difficult, but if you make it a habit, you’ll find that it’s easier to bounce back when things go wrong. Instead of ruining your entire day, say it’s just a passing issue.
馃崈 Try to make yourself laugh:
Comic books, funny YouTube videos, humor websites, funny pictures and so on. It’s easy to find something that makes us laugh. You might think that if you’re having a bad day, nothing is going to make you laugh. But give it a chance, it means find something that makes you plant a smile and you’ll feel better almost immediately.
